Al menos 14 personas fueron diagnosticadas en Córdoba como portadoras de la nueva variante de coronavirus de Manaos y el Reino Unido, informaron fuentes del Hospital Rawson, mientras se conoció el deceso del primer paciente que presentaba una de esas cepas.

El director de ese centro de salud, Miguel Díaz, precisó a Cba24n que se trata de un hombre que había regresado a la ciudad proveniente de México: “Estaba internado en una clínica privada. Es un hombre mayor con factores de riesgo, que hizo un cuadro grave y falleció”, destacó el facultativo.

A pesar de los nuevos contagios con esas variantes de la Covid-19, Díaz recalcó que “hay que descartar por ahora circulación comunitaria de estas variantes”.

El médico comentó además que la provincia realiza una “vigilancia epidemiológica” para mantener alertas a los viajeros que son portadores de esas variantes, para lograr que puedan aislarse y así no expandir el virus.
